Five years ago I was in the best shape of my life until I hurt my back ironically during a workout at the gym. The injury kept me from exercising and I quickly gained 50 pounds. I have struggled unsuccessfully to shed the extra weight trying pretty much every diet on the market. It was frustrating.
Four weeks ago I had my first session with Shawn. To be honest I was skeptical and didn't expect much. I was so wrong! The session was wonderful, relaxing and completely enjoyable. I left feeling rejuvenated; I actually felt like I had been on a mini vacation.
It is difficult to explain but I found myself instinctively making different choices in what I ate and drank. Easy and effortlessly I lost 20 pounds in 4-weeks and the weight continues to come off. I have no doubt that I will reach my goal weight in the next month or two. It is truly amazing!
I scheduled another session with Shawn to reinforce my weight loss as well as to discuss a problem that I have with falling asleep. This problem has plagued me since childhood and I have tried everything from sleeping pills and anti anxiety medication with very little success. That same night I followed Shawn's instructions for relaxation and fell asleep within minutes. I have not had one sleepless night since and I actually put away my medication.
I am now a true believer in hypnosis and an even bigger believer in Shawn. Shawn is kind, compassionate and a consummate professional. I honestly believe the reason for my success is due to his skill and compassion. I do not believe I would have had this success with anyone else. My only regret is not meeting him 5 years ago. He is truly a gift in my life.

Seventeen years ago I was diagnosed with liver disease while pregnant with my fourth child. There were no symptoms until five and a half years later. Suddenly I wasn't able to function on four-fire hours of sleep and everything hurt. A rheumatologist diagnosed me with Fibromyalgia. Then my labs came back with devastating results. My liver was failing and I had to begin a treatment program of interferon and ribivarin for a year. Daily injections and oral meds put my numbers back in the low normal range. I was in remission. Three more times over the next eleven years I would repeat the treatment. Finally in July 2009 the treatment had to be discontinued. I was no longer responding and the toxic drugs were killing me. Throughout each trial I experienced side effects: nausea, vertigo, limb numbness, hair loss, memory loss, itching, psoriatic breakouts, loss of taste and smell, and worst of all anemia and fatigue. As a result of the drugs I developed astropeia. Unable to live a normal life, I slept 18-20 hours out of every 24. I couldn't stand or walk for any length of time. I could not dry my hair, open a pop top or get fully dressed without assistance. Two months after discontinuing treatment I forced myself to either make dinner or do a little laundry each day. It was sheer will that allowed me to perform even these small tasks. In January 2010 a friend told me about The Acupuncture Wellness Center of Florida. I decided to have a consult in February. After two visits I actually was pain free! For the first time in years I woke up each day feeling more and more alive. One month later my energy level was increased to where I no longer napped during the day. I am now in my third month of treatment and I have my life back. I am back to work, feeling great, and appreciating my new wellness. My latest liver ultrasound was normal.

I had been getting migraine headaches since 2006 and no doctor had been able to remedy the situation. Usually every couple of months, weeks, sometimes once or twice a week, I would experience the incredible pain and all the dreadful symptoms that come along with them. I have had a CAT Scan, MRI, EEG, blood work done, eyes checked and other MD recommended tests with no answers.Finally a Neurologist pinpointed that I suffer from complex migraines but was only interested in giving me medication for when I sense the migraine starting. Not exactly a solution.
After being referred to Dr. Suzanne by another client of hers, I made my first appointment for acupuncture. She told me exactly what to expect and was right on.
